Washoshe
(Daring Warrior)

WAŠOŠE - pronounced wah-sho-shey - is a Lakota Sioux word for "Daring Warrior"). The "shoshe" stem of the word implies "swirling" which would describe the warrior in battle spinning around and being unpredictable in how and in what direction he would attack.

Shown here is an elder in Men's Northern Traditional style (single bustle) Native American Intertribal Powwow regalia.
