Trial By Fire

I painted this on the evening of September 18, 2020 right after learning of the death of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. This was all in the year of COVID-19 shelter-in-place and fears, and also during the horrible fires in California and the entire west coast. This painting started out to be something very different from what it shaped up into. It took on a definite look of a large fire.
